Procedure:

  1. Discuss project on phone or by email.
  2. Determine length, format, slides, if a script is required, etc.
  3. Discuss when and where recordings will be done.
  4. Sign an agreement that specifies all the aspects of the video or slide presentation. This includes estimated costs and a projected schedule.
  5. 50% of estimated cost is made as a non-refundable deposit
  6. Client provides slides, videos (if any), narrations or scripts.
  7. Arrangements are made to do any recordings.
  8. Recordings are done on schedule
  9. Editing begins when narrations, videos, slides, etc. are all ready.
  10. A first draft is produced and uploaded to YouTube.
  11. Client reviews draft and submits written comments.
  12. A second draft is produced and uploaded to YouTube.
  13. Client reviews  2nd draft and submits written comments.
  14. A final version is produced and uploaded to YouTube.
  15. Client reviews final version and submits approval.
  16. Payment in full is made
  17. Video is uploaded to final destination.

Projected Charges:

Setup - $75 (application, agreement, arrange interviewer, interview all participants, video location reservations, travel to video taping location, setup equipment) - only $25 for remote recordings, no Setup for animations.

Video (on location or remotely) - $100/hr (video taping of interview, editing, uploading to YouTube, etc.) Recording can be done at clients location of choice or by using video conferencing (Zoom, Vimeo, StreamYard, etc). Suggestions about lighting, noise control, suitable backgrounds, and personal appearance will be provided. Not applicable for animations.

Narration - $50/hr to record audio only narration for slide presentations. No charge if provided in a high quality digital format or for animations.

Recording can be done at the clients location, or by using video conferencing (Zoom, Vimeo, StreamYard, etc). A high-speed Internet connection and an up-to-date computer are required for any remote audio or video recording. Not applicable for animations.

Slide only presentations - $35/hr (for editing, uploading to YouTube, etc.) plus a narration recording fee and slide fees.

Slides added to video or slide presentations - $12 for each 4 images provided in digital format. $10 for each slide that we need to create or scan. No charge for a simple Title slide and a simple Closing slide.

Packing & Travel - $50 (sign video releases, still photos, put away equipment, travel home) - no charge for remote recordings or for animations.

Audio File - of the finished video is included at no extra charge

DVDs - $20 each or $15 each for 5 or $10 each for 10 or more

Transcript - $50/hr (on request, based on length of video)
